My Review for "Torment" book 2

Torment (Fallen, #2)Torment by Lauren Kate

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Torment is the 2nd book from the series, and i truly loved it, that is why i give a 5 starts out of 5. This is the first book I've read from the series because i thought it was the first.

In this book Luce is being hidden from everyone so she can be alive until they find a way to break the curse. Every page into this book is a step closer to understand why do Daniel and Luce are destine to be together forever (literally), then why she dies every time they try to be happy? In the end she is going to a school where even nephilim they go. Here she finds out more things about her past lives (and that's what i love the most about this book, how everything is explained, the perfect "amount" of details). Also in this book the author will give us a little glimpse of how people deal after Luce dies, and some meeting her accidentally when she "visits" one of her memory.

What i love the most about this book, is that the author has not used the regular angel and demon stories that we have all been used to it; it's an original. I think is the first book i read that a mortal can actually touch an angel and not be hurt or suffer some major drastic consequences. Also i love that the author took the shadows (which lots of us are scared of them not knowing what is hiding there)and using them as messages of the past (the one that keep the memories alive literally for us).

Now i will not give up until i "catch" a shadow and visit a memory or two, a happy one, or one where i can go and slap myself before i do something stupid (i really wish that could be true).
